Unlike the products offered by many of our competitors, our xWeb-/ mail appliances combine antivirus protection, a web content filter, and a full-scale anti-spam solution into a single system with extraordinary performance ratings that is managed by unique, patented eGUI® technology.

Combined with features like HA, VLAN, xUA with single sign-on, bridging, or VPN SSL with x.509 certificates + IPsec, xWeb/ Mail appliances

3. VPN Appliances
The VPN appliances are designed for the fast and secure connection of corporate networks via VPN.

The xVPN appliances are designed for high-performing connections between company networks and a variety of client-to-site connections via VPN and are thus equipped extraordinarily high transfer rates and performance ratings made possible by VPN Crypto acceleration.

4. Virtual Appliances ( VMware Image)

Virtualisation systems offer the key benefits of reducing hardware costs and optimising resource utilisation. In particular, Managed Security Services environments provide optimal conditions for using virtualisation technology to secure diverse departmental networks.

Further significant benefits include centralised administration, monitoring and backup facilities.

Even in virtual systems individual servers need to be protected both from each other and from unauthorised access. To achieve this, the required firewalls can be integrated within the virtual environment to maximise virtualisation benefits effectively.

gateProtect' s virtual appliances make this possible.

Virtual appliances can be installed on compatible virtual systems to prevent unauthorised access by monitoring both internal traffic between the servers and external traffic between servers and the public network.

The virtual appliance is supplied as a VMware image and will run on any system with VMware Player, VMware Workstation, VMware Server or VMware ESX server installed.

5. gateProtect Managed Security Platform

The server based Command Center® allows up to 500 gateProtect Next Generation Firewall appliances or firewall systems to be simultaneously managed, configured and monitored. With its unique and patented eGUI® technology ( ergonomic Graphic User Interface) and the new Command Center gateProtect defines a quantum leap in the configuration and administration of global managed IT security systems.

6. VPN Client for IPSec and SSL
gateProtect has developed his own VPN-client for contection of laptop and home-based workstations. This Client supports IPsec as well as VPN-over-SSL.

A lot of competitors only work web browser based. The gateProtect VPN-Client allows absolute access in the ssl-mode, if defined in the rule type. So it is possible to use a multitude of applications through the SSL-VPN-tunnel like remote desktop.

gateProtect attains a similar high security standard at VPN-over-SSL like certificate-based IPsec by using X.509 certificates. But by using VPN-over-SSL-Tunnel there is more flexibility.

The VPN-client supports the Single-Click-Connection developed by gateProtect. The VPN-tunnel can be established with only one mouse-click in co-operation with the configuration-file which can be exported from the firewall.
